Opening September 2026

Writing brighter futures, one page at a time

Welcome to Storyybrook

Our brand new school with a proposed opening date of September 2026.

At Storyybrook every child has a champion. We believe that education should develop confident, compassionate and creative learners. Our unique curriculum uses a therapeutic and relational approach to deliver a broad and deep curriculum which mirrors the National Curriculum.

Storyybrook is a specialist SEMH provision that supports primary-aged pupils whose main barrier to learning is social, emotional and mental health. Our ethos is rooted in a trauma-informed, relational approach where behaviour is understood as communication and strong relationships underpin all aspects of school life.

Please look out for upcoming open events to find out more about our exciting new school.

Headteacher's Welcome

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about Storyybrook. We know that every child has their own story, and for some, that story includes challenges, uncertainty or a loss of confidence in learning. Our aim is to help children rebuild that confidence, rediscover their strengths and feel a genuine sense of belonging.

As a small, nurturing school, we are able to take the time to really understand each child as an individual. Relationships are at the heart of everything we do. We listen carefully, meet children where they are and support them in a way that helps them feel safe, settled and ready to learn.

Our approach is calm, consistent and rooted in understanding. We see behaviour as communication and work closely with pupils to help them make sense of their emotions, build trust and develop positive relationships. We believe every child can thrive in the right environment.

We also value strong partnerships with families and understand how important it is to find the right setting for your child. At Storyybrook, every child is supported to feel understood, valued and hopeful about their future, and we look forward to welcoming you and your child.
