Writing brighter futures, one page at a time

Welcome to Storyybrook

Storyybrook Opening Update

We remain incredibly excited to bring Storyybrook to children and families who need specialist SEMH education. Following our recent pre-registration inspection, our planned opening has been delayed while a small number of final premises requirements are completed as part of the registration process.

The inspection recognised the strength of our educational provision, including our curriculum, safeguarding arrangements, leadership and vision for supporting children with social, emotional and mental health needs.

We are working closely through the remaining registration process and look forward to welcoming pupils as soon as registration is complete. Thank you to our families, local authorities and partners for your continued support. We will share further updates here as they become available!

Please look out for upcoming open events to find out more about our exciting new school.

Headteacher's Welcome

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about Storyybrook. We know that every child has their own story, and for some, that story includes challenges, uncertainty or a loss of confidence in learning. Our aim is to help children rebuild that confidence, rediscover their strengths and feel a genuine sense of belonging.

As a small, nurturing school, we are able to take the time to really understand each child as an individual. Relationships are at the heart of everything we do. We listen carefully, meet children where they are and support them in a way that helps them feel safe, settled and ready to learn.

Our approach is calm, consistent and rooted in understanding. We see behaviour as communication and work closely with pupils to help them make sense of their emotions, build trust and develop positive relationships. We believe every child can thrive in the right environment.

We also value strong partnerships with families and understand how important it is to find the right setting for your child. At Storyybrook, every child is supported to feel understood, valued and hopeful about their future, and we look forward to welcoming you and your child.
